Westminster council have employed CCTV operators to record the registration numbers of all vehicles that block box junctions, make illegal turns or stop in bus lanes.
Motor insurance companies and motoring pressure groups have given their full backing to the scheme, claiming that dangerous drivers should be caught out, fined and made to pay higher insurance premiums.

There is no doubt that illegal manoeuvres can cause delays and accidents, from the 3 rd of January motorist who drive into central London should know that if they perform illegal manoeuvres they will be heavily fined.
At the current time driver will not receive points on their licence as the scheme is in its infancy, but that could change if drivers don't heed the warning.
